I agree with his post, but it isn’t about computer readability. It’s human readbility.

I want humans to be able to type http://facebook.com/ivankirigin to get me.

I think a good solution might be a url shortener like http://fc.bk/ivankirigin

And if more than one person registers that name, make a list of people who chose it. Let people pay to be higher in the list if they want.
